Translatable Resources

Locales.ai fetches all translatable resources available through the official Shopify API and utilizes these to provide translation services for your store.

These resources include, but are not limited to: products, collections, blogs, navigation, pages, themes, templates, shop metadata, metafields, etc.

Locales.ai also supports the translation of content from third-party applications.

Special Handling for Translation Resources

Locales.ai offers tailored features for specific types of translation resources:

• Content with HTML Type

  For HTML content, we provide a text editor. You can click the button below the string to open the editor, where you can switch between code editing mode and text editing mode, allowing you to preview the front-end display of the code.

• Policy Content

  Shopify does not support automatic translation for policy content; hence, Locales.ai does not download translatable resources for this category.

• Default Templates and Notifications

  For these types of resources, Shopify offers default translations in dozens of languages. Consequently, Locales.ai downloads translatable resources for these categories, but we suggest you avoid translating these resources to save credits. You can select "Translate untranslated strings only" during translation to bypass these already translated resources.

Notes：

The resources not fetched as mentioned above will be automatically translated by Google when the “Translate Third-party App Content” feature is activated, and this translation will occur when users navigate the pages.
