Enhance the shopping experience on your multilingual Shopify store with our Language Switcher. This feature automatically directs users to a store version that matches their IP-based country and browser language, ensuring a personalized shopping experience.

Features

1. IP-Based Redirection:

   • On their first visit, users are automatically directed to the store version corresponding to their IP country. If the store’s market does not yet cover this country, they will be redirected to the site they initially opened or follow the default Shopify link.

2. Browser Language Detection:

   • Once on the site, the store will display in the language set in the user’s browser, provided it is supported in your market settings. If not supported, the default language of that market will be displayed.

3. Language Switcher Tool:

   • Users can switch languages using the language switcher, which only shows the languages available for the current market of the site they are visiting.

4. Remember User Preferences:

   • On subsequent visits, users will automatically be directed to the same site and language they previously visited.

Configuration Steps

1、Access the Switcher Feature Page:

Navigate to the homepage or a specific sub-tab to access the Switcher feature page.

2、Activate the Feature:

Click “Activate Now” to open your theme settings. Insert the Locales.ai Switcher into your theme.

Then, open the list of App Embeds and click the button next to the Locales.ai Switcher.

3、Customize the Switcher:

Return to the Switcher interface to adjust the style and placement of the Switcher.

Additional Language Setup

• To add more languages to your market, visit the settings in your Shopify store management area.

By implementing this language switcher, you ensure that each customer receives a tailored and seamless shopping experience, respecting their language and regional preferences.
