Select to translate
You can select the strings you wish to translate by clicking the checkbox in front of each string, and then click “Translate” at the bottom right.
After clicking, a popup will display the scope of this translation, the word count, and the credits consumed. Clicking “Translate” in the popup initiates the translation.
The above translation actions are effective only for the currently selected individual language.
If you wish to translate another language, please select a different language from the tabs on the left and repeat the process.
Bulk Translation (Translate All)
Locales.ai offers a feature to translate everything.
After clicking “Translate All” in the top right corner and opening the popup, just like syncing data, select the type of resources you need to translate, then confirm the scope of your translation (option 1 is to translate content currently without translations, option 2 is to re-translate all content).
Click “Continue” and you will see the scope, word count, and credits consumed for this translation action. Clicking “Translate” then starts the process.
The “Translate All” action is effective only for the currently selected individual language.
Language Switching
Any translation action performed within the current language tab will only apply to that specific language.
On the main interface to the left, you can switch to the language you want to translate by clicking on the corresponding tab. The progress bar below each language displays the proportion of strings that have been translated into that language.
Edit Translation
Locales.ai allows you to manually edit translations. Enter the content in the translation box and click save. You can also delete a translation by clearing the content in the input box and saving it.
Edited or deleted translations need to be uploaded back to update your store in Locales.ai. Locales.ai does not support manual editing, adding, or deleting strings directly. If you need to modify/add/delete content, please go to the corresponding location in the store admin.
Translation History
Click the button on the right side of an individual string and select “History” to view the translation history of that string. The label will indicate the source of the translation. To restore a specific translation, select it and save it to apply the changes.
